Zheng Ruiyong, was born in 1956 in Jinmen county.

In 1980 he graduated in figure painting from Department Traditional Chinese Painting of China Academy of Art.

From 1986 to 1988 he studied identification of ancient cultural relics in Shanghai Museum.

In 1993, he graduated from Liu Guohui figure painting seminar which was organized by China Academy of Art and Ministry of Culture.

 He is a member of Chinese Artists Association, member of CPPCC Xiamen, Vice-President of Xiamen Democratic League Academy of Fine Arts, Art Editor of Golden Key of General Administration of Customs and a Class A Inspector.

His works Two Connected Cups and Legend of Sun Moon Lake won the Second Prize and Excellence Award respectively at 1st Chinese Folk Painting Contest.

A Festive Day Again was selected for 10th National Art Exhibition.

Over recent years he has participated in national art exhibitions and nomination exhibitions and won awards for many times. His works have also been published in national major art collections and journals.

He used to hold solo exhibitions in Hangzhou, Xiamen, Singapore, Quanzhou, Fuzhou, Jinmen and Taiwan in 1989,1991 and 1996 in succession.
