Fapeng Zhu was born in 1958.

He is a national artist in China, a member of Chinese Artists Association, the artistic adviser of Chinese Generals Gallery, the vice-president of Chinese Military Friendship Gallery, the director of Artists Association of Henan Province, the honorary member of Political Consultative Conference of Henan Province, the artistic adviser of ZX Art Gallery in Xiamen, the vice-president of International Modern Ink and Wash Painting Association.

Besides, he has been rated as one of the top 60 painters of Chinese painting in the past six decades since the founding of PRC by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC), as well as the top 100 artists winning Artron AMI of modern Chinese ink painting and one of the eight great artists of contemporary painting in China. His works have been nominated for auction by leading Chinese auction companies-----China Poly Group, Rombon and Hanhai spring auction.
